Big "E" train show in Springfield Mass

O.K. so who is going to the trtain show in Springfield mass?
I’m going on Sat!
Sean

Hi Sean Heading out Saturday. Bring my Father who is still in HO. Lots to see in many different scales. Will say Hi if I bump into you…

I’ll be there on Saturday. Looking for large scale vendors, any suggestions beyond the big names like Bachmann, Aristo, etc??
Dave

It’s been three or four years since I made the two hour trip to Springfield for this show. The last time I went up, my best find was Berkshire Brewing Company’s Steel Rail Pale Ale  Since BBC’s distribution has finally made it as far south as Danbury, CT, I think I’ll stay home and enjoy the ale here. I don’t need anything and the crowds at Springfield can be a bit much for me.

Dave - For LS Vendors, Charles Ro is usually the biggest with lots of USA Trains stock. A few others have some LS stuff, but it’s nothing like ECLSTS for our scale.

What Ken said. I was enjoying a Lost Sailor IPA and I guess I got lost. Hit Quote instead of Edit and didn't notice :D

If everybody prints out LSC convention badges from the LSC home page maybe some of us newbes could meet some of the other large scale nuts.

Learned years ago LSC crew just hang in the alcove.

Hey - Quit bad mouthing KFC !!! I like their mechanically separated chicken parts :D

I still think we need to make a Large Scale Central switching module layout, that fits somewhere in there. If there was more wall space where the bathrooms are now, that’d be ideal to just continue around the outside.

we can make draw bridges for when the folks need to use the bathrooms... :) There's enough examples of them on the old B&M...

Will never see the trains running if your there???

Adjustments can always be made. That’s how the Timesaver and Inglenook started. Tell me what is needed to make connections. I can’t carry any more in the van so it is going to have to be others bringing the additional modules. If not this year then lets plan for next year, this year. Did that makes sense?

can we plan this year, next year??? or does that make us late???

I know, I know… Da devil made me type that… hehehe

Just wonderin’ why all this ECLSTS planning is going on in the “Big E” thread

But since it’s here - How about a car lift (elevator) to get cars up to an overhead that goes across the bathroom doors  Better than going that way would be to curve around toward the other side of the alcove if there is enough space to make the turn and still walk behind. That leaves the entire other side of the alcove for future expansion. Not sure how the fire marshal would like that though
