Large Scale Central

Bi-level Gallery cars

[b] Well Lem and Ephus decided to take the Gallery Car out for a spin around the open house track. Lucky for them, they arrived back alive with out a scratch on the car or themself’s.

A bit more work on the roof trimming and touch up here-n-there needed still. But it was tooooo nice a day to work inside so we went and played with the trains. The Yellow sideboard decal did not arrive yet, so I just attached a paper one till it arrives.

A USA 7 rib vestible is a bit to wide between the cars, so a trim is needed!

Real nice build Ray

Looks good Ray…but ya’ know the Superliners transist on the upper level not the lower one…

You want one so bad you can taste it can't ya'! ;)

Guys I was able to work some more on the roof and side decals. Here is the results with one Silver and one Black USA Sock (ok - trucks). The side of the chrome wheels will have to be addressed. Still kicking around what to do with the Cab Car end vestibule. In the folded position should be a good thing and leave the vinyl on the other end. the_Other_Ray

Ray, The picture I posted shows it kinda of folded away, with a gate across it…

Guys I used some “H” stock to build a vestibule between the car body and the striker plate. Not sure if I need that many RIBS but it looks good to me. I have also started to paint the window moldings on all the windows…SING ALONG TIME!!!.. …99 bottles of beer on the wall, 98 bottles of beer…ALOT #$%@ windows!!! the_Other_Ray

Are they ready for production yet. Later RJD

Very nice Ray.
Another modern mainliner…cool.

I was ready though an older RRs Illistrated mag and saw your cars, they really don’t have much detail along the bottoms.

[b] Marty They did not have very much ‘down there’. I added a “Black Water” and “Fresh Water” holding tanks and the typical brake tank. Now working on a “COW CATCHER” and other under misc. body details that you could see from the sides. RJD I do not know. I did obtain the remainder of my contracted order and have just started to assemble them. Thinking of doing one in Wisconsin colors… Scott The silver trucks have been assembled with a set of LGB Ball Bearing wheels with electrical pick-up. I have installed an QSI Revolution-U sound/light card. Lem and Ephus must have their HORN/BELL controls…;^)… the_Other_Ray

Lookin good Ray however in my opinion you need the Aristo trucks under them cars and not the Superliner 1 trucks Scott posted. Them Super 1 trucks are very well done but not under your Bilevel cars…There is no arch bar on the Super1’s as they are a German made truck but your Bi’s have the arch bar…Just my opinion and not my build.

So you think your a pro Rooster :)Rivet counter LOL

Nope …But I’m pretty sure from the pics I’ve seen them Bilevel cars ride on streamliner trucks not the German made ones posted…either way the cars are cool and it’s Ray’s build so Rays choice!
