I would have never guessed a thread titled Best Railroading Work Gear would have to include Sunday’s Best Work Gear.
One member of this rail gang has experience of working on a railroad all the live long day. The other shovels look a bit under-utilised.
This railway crew is restoring a line near @WaverlySouthern.
Broad-brimmed hat, t-shirt, and cargo shorts. I cannot remember the last time I wore shoes in the garden! In the winter, I wear the same thing.

Came across a specialty men’s shop wandering downtown.
But I sooo wanted to go in to find out if shipping by train was free, but I didn’t have the time to explain why their shop amused me.
(We didn’t have hobo in Oz. These wandering men were called swagmen here.)
Lou, nice pic.
I tried downloading and re-inserting as bmp, but it just made a link, same as your original post. Here it is saved as a jpg and dragged into the reply box. I guess jpg’s are mo better.
Mentioning “Peter Jennings” brought back memories from years ago, although not really railroad related…
A rather young Mr. Peter Jennings started his Television career here at television station CJOH, later part of the CTV network, here in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. he did at one time take part in reporting on a local Steam Locomotive (CPR D10 steam locomotive 1057) fan trip operation…if I remember correctly.
I ware a pair of well washed and used blue Bib Overalls, with a light blue cotton Long sleeve button front shirt, toped with a 315 ball cap or my engineers cap. steel toe high top boots. If I’m in the cab, add a traditional red kerchief ( to keep the cinders out of your collar), and black arm gauntlets, to help keep the sleeves clean.
