Best low speed control

You guys are making me think about just staying with my good old Powermaster 20’s and limiting myself to 2 engine operation at a time. It is one way to not become an engine junkie. On a side note, I did see a comparison where someone had an NCE and a Zimo in two identical engines. While the NCE engine could crawl, the Zimo engine was even slower. Not saying I want to go that slow but it does show the difference in decoders. It surprised me when I saw it.

Phil, in DCC decoders you can change the speed step settings and make the faster engine slower.

And Zimo has at the push of a button a half speed setting, great for yard switching.

I know about adjusting CV’s in DCC. I have done it in HO and N when looking at those scales. I did not however know about the half speed of the Zimo. I hear they make great decoders. I’ve always used NCE, as I live 25 minutes from them. I may have to consider Zimo if I go the DCC route though. Atlease give one a try.
