Before and after the Storm

The snow has just started here. I took a few pictures of the before. Lets see what the layout looks like after.

You have more than we do so far. I got sent home early from work

I covered the first six feet of track where it exits the house just in case I might be able to run a plow train, but with 30+ inches predicted and a plow height of about 5" I think the guys will be a bit overwhelmed.

Jon most of that snow was their from last snow we had.

Here’s my “After” shot of the West Es-Cap-E bridge. Doesn’t look like it will see trains any time soon. (http://lsc.cvsry.com/Post3/StormNemo2013-1.JPG)

Jon, I could post a picture of where we are but it would be cruel. Alls I can say is huddle up and have a brewski.

I’m wondering abouit Shawn’s after picture? Probably working 12/12.

You mean to tell me a smart boy like Shawn hasn’t figured out how to make his computer run on live steam?

Nothing my other friends haven’t already done. Best Man from my wedding 37 years ago keeps posting his beach photos from Turks & Caicos on Facebook :]

On Sunday I shoveled out the walkways around the back of the house / track and ran the plow train over the elevated section as far as Wall. At that point drifts were three times the height of the plow so I decided not to even try.

Thanks for the update, Jon.

Shawn when the guys come pounding on the door, tell them sorry and have them call of the search party. There were stories and rumors of Donner Party stuff and here YOU FORGOT. Oh boy, this doesn’t look good. Good story to tell your kids about responsibility. You can use it as an example on how things go bad…
