So I sold all my HO scale and getting into G 1:29. I like to make my models unique and since there is very little in the way of detail parts in this scale, I built a 3D printer to make my own. Using the free version of Google sketchup, I’ve made a replacement Brake wheel for Aristo cars, A “Superior” type door for Aristo 40 foot boxcars and a spark arrestor for the USA Trains NW-2. I am not a rivet counter, I make parts that have the general look (from 10 feet away) of the prototype. I’m all about sharing so I’ve put them all up on thingiverse. My Thingiverse
Cool, I like that brake wheel. It looks more like what I remember seeing on the cars that wobbled along behind my house.
Thanks Bob. The Aristo one just looks weird to me - like some sort of flower. Wheels should be round.
I mean David. Where did I get Bob from?
