Bay Line RR Oddities

Happened to be by the Bay Line RR yard in Panama City this afternoon and saw a couple of oddities. First is this ‘Leased Unit’ in the middle of a 4 unit lashup.

Followed shortly thereafter by a couple of NS units dragging in a rock train.

Sorry for the picture quality, taken on the camera phone. Can’t resize from the NetBook, will fix when I get Home.

Bob,

Here are your shots re-posted…

I dunno, I see them off black, NS diesel things round these parts quite often.

@Dave - If I lived in the northeast I might agree with you, but living south of the CSX main that cuts across the panhandle of Florida makes NS units on a Genessee and Wyoming short line rather odd.

I have to look at some of the other pics I took, I think some of the motive power may be from other G&S short lines as well.

@Joe - Those shots were taken on my cell phone, emailed to myself (only way I can remove pics from my LG Intuition), picked up on my NetBook and transferred to my web site for posting. I do not have software on my NetBook that will resize photos, so I made the post with the raw size. When I returned home that evening, I copied them to my desktop, resized them and put the smaller size pics on the server. The only thought I have is that the LSC server still thinks they are larger than 800 wide.

What I don’t understand is that I have used that same code to post many pictures in build threads with the pictures posting just fine.

I live right above the main line, and am fortunate to a have a great view of them from my house in winter. We the leaves star growing in spring it abstructs the view a bit, but we can allways take a short walk and see them up close.

Bob, I hear on the data transfer issues, The things we all go through to put a picture in front of people! But the pictures are worth it.

Bob, I know, I was being facetious. I see Rio Grande diesels and UP diesels around here from time to time. I cant believe the crews are that lost, so maybe they are just taking a vacation in scenic Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

Uh oh, I missed taking my meds again…

:stuck_out_tongue:

Was in Mexico Beach that weekend.

I see lots of odd locomotives mixed in with the UP trains here in Nebraksa. KSC, that Mexican line, CSX, NS, BUrlington and some odd ones I can’t recall.
