Battery Powered LGB Forney's

My battery powered LGB Forney has An Aristo Revolution system wired directly to motor with two Li_ Ion 11.1V 2400 mah batteries for power, sound unit is Phoenix’s PB-9 . Engine will run at least 3 to 4 hours before it needs charging and can pull 7 to 8 pulpwood cars up a 4 % grade . Working on converting my other two Forney’s to same sytem.

Paul,
I have a couple of those as well.
Prolly the most reliable loco LGB produced.
I call them my “Mini Mason’s” (Mason Bogey)

I’ve only converted one LGB Forney. I put 14.4V, 4.5AH NiMH batteries, an AirWire receiver and a Phoenix P-5 in it. It certainly fills up things.

I just got one when I was at York. I great engine and half the price of the Bachmann Forney. All it needed was a paint job and some added details. Between that and my HLW big john the KMRR has two reliable engines.

I have an LGB Forney converted to to battery power using the Revolution TE with 16 2500Mah NiMH cells in a trailing combine. I regularly get over 4 hours on a charge.
