Here is my battery powered LGB Feldbahn diesel. I removed the skates and wheel brushes, the latter being worth a couple wagons pulling power in thier drag. I installed a DPDT toggle in the rear wall of the cab with a center off position. A four cell AA battery pack replaced the lead weight under the bonnet. I am using 4 Ni-Mh batteries (1.2vt) right now. Havent run him long enough to see what the run duration will be. I also made up a Darjeeling style headlight using a miniatronics Yelglow LED and some bars made from resistor leads. Wired to the motor leads with a dropping resistor, works in forward direction only. Being a LED, should keep extra battery drain from the light to a min. I also replaced the small LGB engineer with a larger figure I had on hand, no idea of his exact scale! Cheers Mike
