My lovely bride got me one for Christmas a few years ago. Since I run battery only, it sits on the shelf, waiting for a battery conversion.
Has anybody done one, so I don’t have to sail into uncharted waters?
What size battery did you use? Did you use an ESC, or just an on/off switch?

Mine is a really old one, with buss bars on top and bottom of connector bar for trailer.
I put two 9V in parallel inside a box on the trailer, connected to the buss bars (removed contacts for trailer wheels), removed pickups in power unit, switch in the side of the trailer floor, sticking out.
Perfect speed for two union guys going somewhere.
Mine is belt drive, not sure if speed at voltage same as a geared one.

I made mine free wheeling, by taking out the motor and moving the gears around. I then mounted the trailer on a Stomper chassis and its been running for years. Many well documented wrecks and work comp claims.
