Nudder stoooopid question:
Does it matter is a battery is laying down, or do they have to be upright.?
Specifically a gel cell.
Every gel cell I’ve seen in different applications is always upright. (power back up, Alarms, etc.)

Pay no attention to Mr Featherkile. He runs on clockwork. Sometimes his escapement needs adjusting.
There have been days when I thought he escaped once too often.
I resemble that remark.
I really can’t imagine that it would make any difference to the battery which way was up. As long as it is not a lead/acid battery, that is.

OK, I did my own research. I knew I couldn’t count on the eggspurts here!
A gel cell can be used in any position.

Yeah, but I said so first!
I use only “Gel Cells” and it doesn’t matter which way they are installed…THEY ARE “Sealed” cells and will not leak.
