I have been looking into DCC control for both may Scale O (2 rail) and my G scale layouts. Recently I heard of a battery controlled system by CVP products of Texas. There system is called “Air Wire”. My question is, has anyone used this Air Wire system of control? Has there been ay problems fitting the batteries in the G scale or O scale locomotives? One last question, can you “MU” several locomotives together on one train with this system? Thanks in advance.

I have put an AirWire and a set of batteries in an O scale european baggage car.
I regularly put AirWire, Phoenix P-5 and batteries in engines. I did have to put the batteries in a train car for the Bachmann Climax.
The only problem is that when you have a lot of motor noise, it can interfere with the button controls to the sound board when the engine is quite a distance from the transmitter. I have had good luck with the radio range and am very satisfied with the system.
