Hang on back there, hopefully it will shift back out to sea. If it doesnt it looks like Boston area will get it head on.

The doom and gloom is at the top of the headlines tonight. Connecticut Light & Power is predicting massive power outages and is warning residents to be prepared for a week or more without power. I have a generator and around 10 gallons of gas. That won’t last me more than a few days. The only thing I really need power for is the freezer and the fridge.

If it doesn’t blow away we could always live in the RV

NJ is now under a state of emergency. My area could see up to 15 inches of rain and we are already well above average for rainfall this month.

CT Gov. Dannel (spelled correctly) Malloy just signed a declaration of emergency, and the sun came out

Im charging my batteries and making sure I have enough butan and distilled water so I can run my live steam and battery powered trains. Just in case I loose power for a a few days. gives me something to do. LOL

If this thing hits it could be the worst storm we have seen in these parts in well over 100 years.

Jon; if all you need the generator for is the freezer and refridgerator, then you don’t need to keep it running continuously. Just put it on for an hour or so, every four hours or so. The two appliances will hold the cold between the times very well., in fact they may even hold it much longer. My old freezer can go a day or longer without power.

Here’s the link for the Hurricane Tracker.
It will update periodically.

Yes Fred, I thought of that as well. Of course, we need TV, computers and Internet 24-7 so long as the cable doesn't go out :)

It’s not looking good. Currently showing a more westerly track than yesterday :open_mouth:

I guess i should remove all the buildings from the railroad. I have a feeling this is going to &^%$ in Rhode Island.

I hope everyone fairs well, good luck and our prayers are with you!

Please hunker down safe and get out of those low lying areas folks. God bless!

Always a bridesmaid… Still looks like it’ll miss us by a country mile. Just like the earthquake, floods, snowstorms, tornadoes… wait! What am I saying? For all of the other little indignities, I guess we’re doing pretty good out here! :stuck_out_tongue:

On the serious side. If you’re in the path, please don’t take unnecessary chances! Tomorrow is always better when you have one.
