Barry or TOC?

On the original big haulers, is there any after-market piece that will support the piston and the slide valve. Similar to the supporting piece on an LGB Mogul.
I have an old BBT conversion here and the action of the drive rods is too much for the piston and slide mechanism. It loosens and eventually comes out.
Do I make sense, or would a pic help?

If the piston/slide rods are the original plastic ones, maybe you could build yer own:

see bottom of page. good luck, Vic

John,

Barry or TOC?

That’s an interesting question.

Is that like Mac or PC?

Joe

Vic,
That’ll work.
Mebbe I could make one out of brass.

Joe:
Yeah, kinda.

John,

I normally have magnesium bronze cross head guides as replacements. But my caster is having health problems and I don’t want to push him.

I will check to see how he is doing.

I may have another idea.
