Well nobody will have a problem seein it…

I like the color!

Is that Rangoon Red? That was a Ford color in the 60’s

I like that Bob. I need to build one.

Allis-Chalmers orange. Local hardware store has all the farm equipment colors.

Pondering doing black chevron stripes on the front…

Gulf colors come to mind

A bit more work. Added brass steps, painted the grab irons, and installed the headlight.

Holy Cow! Give the man a cigar.

Love the color! Looks really neat with that power block!

This is about as far as I can go until I get the innards. Time to order!

You won’t need a sound system with that color!

Bob

Very nice Bob! And I like the color.

The Aristocraft Revolution sound RX are finally around, so I got ahold of one of the diesel ones. Here’s the innards setup for the boxcab, laid out for a sound/control test. Not too bad.

It’ll all fit nicely into the boxcab. Probably have the speaker go out the front grille.

Groooooovy…hope the steam sounds that good…

Hey Bob, I don’t know if it’s your camera or how far you were from the speaker but that sounded much better than the other clips I’ve heard. Sounds great!

It does sound pretty decent. The first clip I heard from Aristo was not good.
I’ve heard a few others since and they’ve all sounded pretty good.
Ralph

Yes that sounded much better to me also . While switching cars , will that bell sound all of the time like in the video ? Can it be silenced so it does not ring so much ?
Thanks

Hi folks In the pursuit of a boxcab, I came across the Banta Modelworks boxcab kit. http://www.bantamodelworks.com/T2127.html It arrived yesterday, so I thought I’d do a build-along thread. I’m deviating from it in that Im not using a Bachmann Davenport power truck (since I dont have one on hand), and, instead using an LGB three-axle one out of my parts bin.

The kit arrives in a nice cardboard box, and the parts are bagged in what I assume are three sub-assemblies.

Three double-sided pages of instructions are included. They apparently are the same for the On30 flavor of this kit, since there are both 1:20.3 and On30 mentioned here and there on the pages.

Nice work Dennis. I don’t recognise the motor block as LGB however.
