Well, not exactly… I had the midwest kit sitting unbuilt on my shelf since I was a teenager. My wife asked me if I was planning on doing anything with it. I had no distinct plans, so she asked if she could design something…

Kim just sighs. She’s figured out she can’t complain about the mess – er, work – in progress, then also lay claim to whatever it was when it’s finished.
She would like her washing machine back, tho.

Truth be told, I “borrow” from Allison’s workshop fairly regularly, too (so regularly that she bought me a heat gun for Christmas so she wouldn’t have to keep rescuing hers). She does scrapbooking, and it’s surprising how closely related our two pursuits can be. She gets these little “embellishments” for her pages, some of which work rather well in large scale.
I also fixed the second video link so it points to a different clip.

Kevin,
Honestly, I remeber that way back when and thought it was whimsical & cute “dressing” for a loco! Having said that I’m NOT showing this to my girls or they will want “daddy” to build them one! The 8 year old is reading Alice now.

My wife cleaned up my shop, and I can no longer find two R/C throttles and one sound board.
Of course, she denies knowing anything about it.
Sigh.
No comment other than this.
I don’t have that problem.
I didn’t get to this age making comments like above.
Enough said on this subject.
