Does anyone know what’s going on with Bachmann’s website?
As in?
SPAMmers have found a way for their bots to create havoc.
All I get there is a “This site temporarily unavailable” message. Also, my browser tells me the site’s security certificate expired in May.
Just went there… .site seems ok, went to their mini forum… works ok…
Weird… Greg
Been going on and off for a while now, working on maintanence stuff, not due to spammers, from what I read, recent message from the Bach’man states they are working on a solution to block the spammers, lets hope so.
Ray:
You are probably seeing a cached version. Delete your cache and it should work. It has been up and working since the first of this week. Just lots of spam attacks now.

After a couple of adjustments, Bachmann’s forum upgrade appears complete. Mostly a new look to colors, graphics and appearance. I assume there are some advances to the forum’s operation and features, but they’re not yet apparent.
If anyone isn’t getting access, try dumping your cache. The forum remembered my name and pw. New registration was NOT required.
The forum upgrade certainly didn’t cut down on the spam. Too bad, since one of the more prevelant items is porn adverts. Subject titles on the first page at this moment include one with: “XXX . . .”, one with: “. . . gay . . .”, and three with: “. . . Casino”. I’m certain you can connect the dots.
Lots of kids and parents go to that board to get their first model train information. The situation is just not very good for anyone, but Bachmann can’t seem to find the software and engineering to stop it. Welcome to the World Wide Web!
