I have a slew of bachmann wheels with extremely larges flanges. They look too big and my question is. Is there any way other then using a lathe to turn them down a bit to look more prototypical?
Thanks

You might be able to chuck them up in a drill press and use some sort of file to do it.
I’d just replace them with Sierra Valley wheels or some other brand.

Scale doesn;t neccessarily work out real well in an outdoors setting I have found. I find it more effective to camoflage the flanges, as thats what keeps things on track, with a judicious application of an appropriate color of paint…
