I’ve had a Bachmann Anniversary 4-6-0 ET&WNC sitting on my shelf, collecting dust for around 3 years. Every since I went battery/RC I’ve wanted to convert this to my QSI/G-wire system, but really didn’t know how to do it, as I’m usually doing it in Aristo engines which are much easier, and simpler to do. I finally took the plunge into this engine and converted it. Everything went pretty smoothly, had a small issue with some dirty engine wheels on the engine I use to program decoders. Cleaned em, and was able to change the sound from a diesel to a steam engine. Here is a video of it running in and around my layout. Notice the NEW tunnel put in this summer which is a double track one!! Thanks for looking Regal
Looks real good Jerry
Nice job, Jerry.
Good to see you expanding your RC skills
Ralph
Could you do one that demonstrates the sound system? Im sorta reviewing options right now…
Bart all my collection if it has sound and RC is QSI/G-wire. I have some engines with decoder in engine, and run by a battery car, with two 7.2, or 8.4 nicad batteries. I now have two baggage cars with the complete system in them. One is for my U.P. pa/pb setup its in the baggage car, and the latest I removed everything from my D&RG boxcar, and put it in the full baggage car of the ET&WNC you see in the video above!! I need one boxcar with all the electronics in it with a diesel sound from QSI to put behind my diesels and my newer U.P. Heritage diesel is all!! You can hear all this by visiting my you tube channel I believe there is even a two part video on how I put everything into the U.P. boxcar. QSI/G-wire was and has always been my system of choice due to price, and ease of installation, and thanks to Greg E. who helped me do the whole works in a boxcar with the QSI board you wire up. Regal
