I recently purchased two of these locomotives (still awaiting receipt of them). The wife just simply ‘had’ to have one for display in her personal den (along with her own Thomas and James). I have been promising to purchase her one for about a year as red is her favourite colour. Seems that colour is more important than shape.
My enquiry is if any who have received these had given any thought to doing a “Vic Smith” on them, with a new smokebox door and backhead details, along with a repaint in black, of cause. One could possibly add outside cylinders as well.
Also, I read that three-axle clerestory coach and guard’s/brake coach are intransit to Britain. Must be part of the 2011 release yet to be announced at the upcoming NMRA convention. Awaiting the inevitable cattle waggon and boxvan, but not holding my breath.
