Carl T. brought his new Heisler yesterday so naturally picture taking was in order. I was so impressed with the sheer beauty of this engine I’ve been posting these images everywhere so no one will miss a chance to see it.
This engine is much more durable detail-wise than the Shay. Those delicate looking front pilot steps are metal and secured with screws. Lots of other metal detail parts too. I think this is Bachmann’s best effort yet and one of the finest examples of a production model locomotive I’ve ever seen. I didn’t get to see it run unfortunately as it hadn’t even been lubed yet when Carl brought it over.
