Here is a YouTube video I put up that I dubbed from the VHS tape that I got with the loco to DVR since nobody still uses VHS!
So I am nobody, again.
Or is that; I am a nobody, again?
Well, it is nice of you to help out the somebodies in the hobby.
I have you know … some of us still have VHS machines ( still flashes 12:00 ), three remotes , landlines, flip phones, …still getting used to this computer crap… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)
Go try to buy a VHS tape. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
I have some new blank ones for my mother … who has 13 tv’s/ VHS recorders … I find them once in a while…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
Tapes deteriorate quickly because they are made with iron oxide (rust). The resolution is low, and they stretch.
But some of my best movies are on VHS.

Sean, that flashing 12:00 is easy to fix. You take a piece of black electrical tape, and you just cover it up. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Ebay. Same with cassette tapes. I haven’t shopped for 8 tracks in quite a while, but if they are still to be had, someone out in Ebay land is probably selling them.
