Bachmann flat car, now EBT gondola

Okay, so it took less than 48 hours from when I bought it to when it was rebuilt… What can I say?

It’s shown coupled to the Bachmann hopper.

Close-up of the end of the car, showing the relocated brake staff and gondola side details. A description of the process can be found here: http://www.mylargescale.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=44154 Next up, the hopper. Don’t know what all I’m going to do with that. There are some details that are just wrong, but I need to figure out how bad they bug me before I start any surgery. I don’t want to have to repaint the sides, since the cars are already lettered for the EBT. Later, K

Very kewl…

Kevin, you have too much time on your hands. You need a hobby

Great looking gon. I’ll be interested in your modifications to the hopper too.

Me thinks when his little one comes along he’ll have his hands full…

... loaded ...

Actually, she’s been here a year–it’s taken me that long to find time to get BACK to the workshop.

Beautiful work, as always! I especially like the nail holes in the planks.
