I know I’m probably way behind the times on this, but I didn’t see anything posted…
The Durango Dan site has a review of the caboose with a bunch of photos.

Wow thats one heckova nice caboose! looks like bmann might finally have a out-of-the-gate winner this time, lets hope so.
… still waaaaay to big for my tiny layout.
Yup.
Bit hard to stuff upthe gearing and assembly of a drive mechanism in a caboose.
Nice looking model.
Be nice if they made their logging caboose with those features. Then yet it would cost more money then I would be willing to pay
If I remember correctly, the original model of the B’mann caboose was built by the gentleman that was, or is the “Bachman”…I don’t know if he is still working for them, as he hasn’t replied to my emails. He is a fine modeler…
Beautiful write up by Durango Dan. If anyone gets one and has the older Bachmann EBT Caboose, I’d really like to see a picture of the two together.
I have one on order and I also have the old EBT. As soon as it gets here, I can do a comparison for you.
But having said that, forum member Mike Williams has one, and if he would be so kind to bring it out to our regular Tuesday Run, I’ll gladly compare them for you.
Friar,
NO ONE at Bachmann answers e-mails.
Another one of their “customer-no-service” policies, I guess.
Got a Flying RGS version coming soon over here. Be interesting to compare it with my brass AccuCraft model at around 2.5 times the Bachmann price. I’ll be detailing mine with a few internal posters, timetables and so on, a couple of pencils and a ticket rack and that’s about it…apart from mugs for the coffee pot, and the compulsory cat on the bunk.
I have the Sheridan shortie van, too, bought from Jon Bliese a couple of years ago as a kit, again with a complete interior that was $50 extra. In fact, it’s running around right now behind my K27 and a couple of cars - I’m surprised you guys can’t hear it.
Reckon I’ve got about fifteen vans of one kind or another - me and ig are v partial to vans, and when I die, I hope there’s one in heaven for me to sit in and watch eternity go by.
Best to all
