Bachmann 3 truck Shay with Battery/RC/Sound

Hi

The Little River Rail Road is selling the last of its locomotives on eBay.

This is a 3 trucker that is battery powered and radio controlled. As the batteries were 4.5 years old I replaced them with fresh new ones.

The RC install was by RCS of New England. There is a nice and loud Phoenix sound system (can be turned down) in the lokie with a 3 " speaker.

Trying to recycle all my stuff as I move on to On30 modeling.

Thanks for allowing these posts as we change chapters on model railroading. Tom

Wow that’s a nice starting price. If nobody bids on it, said Pooh hopefully, let me know. I’ll even add postage!(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Dr. Tom…you are one of my inspirations…you can’t get out of g-scale!! No no no. I hope you will at least participate in one more Challenge if nothing else.

p.s. I drove up the price of your shay to over three hundred for starters anyway.

Thanks John for the nice note. I will still be posting here on the On30 forum. Also might do something in On30 for the challenge…creative juices are flowing.

Loved my time in the “Big Trains” but age and increased work load in the work -a -day world prompted this change.

Doc Tom,

This is the first of my hearing of you stepping out of the outside large scale world. I’ve really enjoyed your postings and your inspiration from and interpretation of the Little River Lumber Company. Are you continuing to document your progress in model railroading. Please stay in touch.

Thanks Ric. Yes, I have been posting on the On30 forum here. Hope to continue to do so. I have several projects rolling around in my head.

This is the On30 Mini layout that depicts a Haitian Sugar Cane Hauler in 1920.

Thanks. Doc Tom

Hi Tom, I just saw your posting and sale of the Shay. Sorry to see you move out of large scale. It looks like you are enjoying On30 with lots of details.

I am here if the new owner needs any help. In January we will offer a new smaller system for O scale and HO in a trailer car.

Thanks for your past business.
