This is a joke, right? Somebody hacked StanleyAmes’s account? How many times was I berated by many for having the audacity to remove the Ames Super Socket for radio/battery installation? How many boxes of those worthless units do I still have? Tell me it ain’t so. Tell me somebody hacked the account and this is a joke. Tell me Bahmann doesn’t need a trailing truck that needs reinforcing? Oh, and yes, somebody did direct me here. TOC, shaking his head (and grinning widely). No, wait…that’s a GUFFAW!
Dave
Long time.
No it is not a joke. Picked up the locomotive used.
The light weathering was done very well and I like the looks.
The locomotive had been converted to run on RC and the RC control was removed before I got the locomotive.
My intent was to put a new board in and restore the electronics but decided that it was easier in this case to sell the locomotive to an RC user and get another with all the wiring intact for my use.
Runs very well. Checked out and missing parts replaced so other then the missing electonics its a great locomotive.
Stan
BTW be glad to take the boxes of unused board you have off your hands. They come in real useful for installation in other locomotives.
Stan
I’ll send you the boards I have as I don’t use them either.
I’ll get them in the mail latter this week for ya
Rodney
Stan,
Is all of your railroad with track power?
Ric
Yes all of our layout is track powered.
Rodney
Thanks
I have had three offers for the 2-6-6-2 but all were DC users. The electronics have been removed and one set of track pickups per engine cut off. Therefore it is really only suitable for RC users.
Will reduce it to $275 in order to sell it here before listing it on EBAY.
Stan Ames
The locomotive has been sold.
Thanks
