As I have upgraded to diecast trucks I have accumulated several sets of the old Bachman Shay plastic trucks with the cracked frames and slipping gears. Can these old trucks be repaired or are they good for anything? Seems a bit wasteful to just discard them.

Don’t toss them. It would be neat to make a extra tender for a Shay to make a 3 or a 4 truck with your old tired trucks being dummies along for the ride.

There are parts on the old trucks that can be used when things break in the future. Best to keep them
