Bachman Rail Truck gets decals

My wife got me a Bachman Rail Truck for Christmas. I have since converted it to battery/track power with a DPDT switch wired into the circuit board. A 9.6 pack sends it around at about the right speed, I guess! Sorta slow. Anyway, I liked the way that full sized replica of RGS #1 looked. I copied off the door into my art program and messed with it some to put on my door. Also made up SCRR No 1 instead of RGS No 1. I used clear laser decal paper(ebay) and adhered them to white vinyl, so I got the white, instead of painting the door(might have been easier) white. Ran a black marker around the edge, then peeled off the backing and stuck them on. Broke the handle shaft when I took the handles off, so used a piece of brass wire to replace that.

…winking…

I like the rail trucks.
Maybe one of these days

This afternoon I sprayed the brown wood boards with gray, then went over them with india ink/alcohol. They are coming along, just could not take that plastic’ey brown anymore! Will shoot it with some matte clear, then some Bragdon powders, will use a bit of that on the metal also, just a bit of weathering on it.

Here’s some shots of the weathered truck. I used the techniques as described above.

Jerry, Railtruck looks fantastic… Nice job on it…

I like what you did especially the weathering. I have to get moving on my rail truck.

I would actually let your pink with purple unicorn decaled rail truck weather on it's own Shawn? ;)

LOL

Your wood looks good.

Great praise Scott, you have to be the wood expert!

Needs a rooster in the cargo bay. :stuck_out_tongue:

WHY a rooster Steve?

Nice touch Jerry. Maybe I should get mine done. Still got to get it rigged up with DCC/sound. Later RJD

Mine was easy RJ, it does not run, just sits there!
