I’ve got a couple in the shop for tune-up.
Some other brand of r/c and their brand of sound.
Odd installation, but, hey, it works.
So, I do the tender, lube the trucks, fix the Kadee install (.125 plastic pad, and 2 screws), then I do the loco.
Gee it’s light.
Someone has A) pulled ALL the weights out of it, and B) pulled ever spring out of it so it rides with the journals fully collapsed.
Then, the cab doesn’t fit the boiler right at the front wall, all the piping fits wrong, and the cab isn’t holding to the floor right.
I think I recall someone thinking this would protect the gears, but we have all the weight in our engines, hauling a LOT, for 4 years, never any problems.
What was the deal?
Now I gotta go find parts somewhere.
