How can I post one?

If you have a pic, you can upload it to the myfiles area here, or if you have it on a host somewhere else, that works, too.

Then go to your profile, the personality link, and put the URL of your image in the Avatar box at the bottom. Save, and voila.

I’m trying to do this too. Half way there, I think… My pic’s uploaded to myfiles now. but how do I get the URL for it? When I hover my mouse over my myfiles box the pic shows but no URL. There’s a trick, right?

Just right click over the image that appears and hit “Copy Image Location”…that will give ya the URL…then 'Paste" it where ya want it…

Not an option. I just took a screenshot to upload to you FYI but as a virtual newbie here I don’t know how to attach a pic to my posts yet either, so I couldn’t do that! Doubly screwed…

I can list for you the options I have when I right-click : Save pic as–, E-mail pic, Print pic, Go to my pictures, Set as background, Copy, add to Faves, Properties.

Nothing new there then, and all these refer to my computer rather than to the site. The greyed-out options are all the usual Windows things too - nothing that i can see refers to a URL…

I’m opening myfiles on this page BTW, here @ LSC, Index>>Website>>Avatar

Right click on "Properties", it should show you the URL, the size of the pic and other stuff...............copy and then paste the URL to wherever you want to post it..........

Paul,
EDIT- Ken beat me to it!

It is Uniform Resource Locator

Well, I had universal…I knew it was Uni-somethin…

Thanks Ken. As you can see, success at last. Actually, I was out driving this aft and yr solution occurred to me to try. Lo and behold I came back here and read your confirmation. Now I have to work out a couple more things for LSC, but I’ll hunt around for the answers before leaning on you any further, at least today! Thanks again, yr a patient man!

Glad to help out, John. I was a newbie at one time too, so I know how frustrating these confusers can get…
