Large Scale Central

Atlanta Train Show

I will have a vendor table to sell some of my excess train stuff, mostly HO, but a few G scale things too. Stop by and say hello if you’re there. Looks like a pretty good show:

It’s on the 12th and 13th of March at the Cobb Galleria Center. I’m going to have a small sign for the Large Scale Central forum for identification.

Regards,

John Witt and Jerry Witt

You can’t have a small sign for large scale Must be LARGE. Otherwise it would be like selling tiny shrimp. Not a good example, but I can’t think of anything better.

a Tiny whale maybe

Actually more oxymoronic. like jumbo shrimp. But we do what we can…the lettering will be LARGE and run off the edge of the paper.

When I raced on the Bonneville salt flats, Our team name was Oxymoron Racing. We raced a Stock 49’ Crosley. And we held the forever claim to “The Worlds Slowest Land Speed Record” We have lost that record. But the new guy can’t claim the title.

I was just out there this last summer, to see Wendover Army Air Base. Been a plane nut all my life, as well as trains, boats and cars. No activity on the flats while we were there though.

I did drive in the Sebring 12 Hours a couple of times, which , if I remember correctly was first won by a Crosely Hot Shot, which was probably also the slowest time for the race.

I looked it up, it was for 6 hours then and they did 381 miles. That’s 63.5 MPH, okay!
