It was about 8C and mizzly raining, track was pretty slippy, too. The sharp-eyed among you will notice it passing a British Gauge 1 train - comparing the real difference between the two trains - same scale, remember - is an interesting little exercise.

I have a photograph taken in Ramsgate in July 1956 that clearly shows a faint shadow cast behind the gas-works where we were eleven of us kids had camped in an ex-Army two-man tent.
