I run my trains using the CRE 55473 transmitter and my 14 month old likes to take the control and control the trains. (at least he thinks he is) My problem is he tends to drop it or drag it on the ground then when I need to use it he wont give it back. (gets that from my wife lol) I tried a few ways to trick him, one was using a hand held CB radio that looked pretty close to the train engineer. He was to smart to fall for that. I thought about getting another one but didnt want to spend money on one that is going to get abused. My question is does anyone out their have an train engineer trasmitter that does not work anymore and can not be fixed? All I need is the shell so my little guy thinks he is controling the trains. I feel bad when I take it away because he really has a blast taking the controls.
shawn I got you covered on that. The only problem is I am still in CA untill the end of the month. Once I get back to St. Louis I will be glade to ship it to you. can you hang in there 4 more weeks?

THINK! 2x4 cut too size painted black(latex for teething) with #'s on it and add a rubber duckie antenna…he’s hooked up.

Geoff, it can work even among adults.
I know of a company, where the workers complained about hot and cold.
So the boss gave them a thermostat, and all were happy.
He neglected to tell them it was not connected to anything!

Shawn, you might pick up cheaply the earlier orange cases TE for a song.
Incidentally I use the 27Mhz. TE. My version has five yellowish green lights 1-5 and 6-10 are red. I use chanel 6 (red) on track power: I find the red color is more easily seen in bright sunny weather. I use Channel 4 (green) for my trailing battery car as I tend to run battery only on the gloomier, likely to rain days.
He hasnt figure it out yet. It helps when I tell him to turn the train on and I hit my button at the same time. He thinks he did it. LOL
