Aristo Rogers smoke?

My new found friend Todd Haskins suggested that I ask this question…
I recently bought an Aristo Rogers with what they say has the newer Aristo smoke unit (the swith is under the loco, rather than in the boiler and I think the unit is fan forced).
The loco runs great, however I can’t get it to smoke. I have a small circle of track around the ceiling of my homem office and it is powered with an old MRC transformer. The transformer provides plenty of power to run the train at a fast clip. I am certain I have plenty of voltage to make it run fast, but I am wondering if the lack of smoke is due to not enough current? Is it possible for the Rogers to run at a very fast speed, but still not have enough current for the smoke unit to push out smoke? Yes, the switch is turned on…however, the Aristo instructions that came with the loco do not correspond with the smoke unit generation in the one I have.
Thoughts before I send it back to ARisto?

Try puitting more smoke fluid in it. Its the new smoke unit that requires a lot of fluid. It shuts off when the fluid gets low. Try 30 drops or more and see what happens.
