Aristo question

I just befriended John Polk on Facebook. What’s up with that?

I like doing that but I see he still has himself listed as President of Aristo.

Does that mean Aristo is not really gone or is something up with Aristo and the “new kid?”

More likely he hasnt updates his profile.

That may not be a “real” account unless you meant Lewis. Jonathan Polk never had any affiliation with Aristo other than being Lewis’ son. He did produce the “how model trains are made” video

George

You do mean Johnathan Polk?

He’s been the administrator of the Aristo forum forever.

Greg

I went back and double-checked. It was Lewis!

Yep, I just got a friend request from him too.

Funny, he thinks of me as the anti-christ …

Anyway, this is a periodic situation with Lewis, Facebook, Linkedin, all these social media will “offer” to send a “friend request” to EVERYONE in your address book.

So, it’s another oversight, just like his compromised yahoo password…

Greg

Sounds about right Greg!

Gee. I was on the email list forever. I feel left out.

Sheesh Steve,

I guess you just never bothered to “unsubscribe”, forever is waaaaaayyyyyyy too long.

Gregg since you got a friend request from him, can you send him a “Drop dead” request?

I am just asking, since I don’t Facebook, so I don’t know what kind of requests that can be made there.

There is an ignore button! I use it quite often. One can also stop the gazillion messages from certain friends. Took me a few weeks to get things tuned to my liking.

Hans, yes, but simply ignoring someone doesn’t get the point across the same as saying “hey Pinhead, go reguage yourself.” :stuck_out_tongue:

I did the ignore… the humiliation of losing his company is enough, no need to twist the knife.

I ignored his linkedin request before also, and also the random emails he sends me, seems I’m on a distribution list of his.

Greg

Prolly more like a hit list Greg.

Has anyone heard anything of Generation X?

Yes, they were born after the Baby Boomers.

Actually I think you may mean GeneratioNext, Scott Polks follow up business. Its mostly selling NOS track and Revolution control products.

Don’t know if it helps this thread, but here’s their web site - http://polksgenerationext.com/

Thanks Vic, I’m glad someone got it right!

Mark, I’m glad to have the website. It wasn’t working before! I’ve communicated with Scott before. He’s helpful.

There is an interview with Scott Polk on this forum today.

Check it out.

Trainworld has a page of Polks Generationext stuff for sale. I cant look at it, because the one C16 keeps calling my name.
