I got my new safety pop offs from Larry Herget. He designed up a device that hooks to the Mikes safety, after removing the piece on the safety that directs the steam down the tubes to behind the cylinders. I guess they did this so no one sued because of the safety blowing up on top. There are fake pop offs in front of the rear dome, that is where Larry’s device hooks up to. . I pried them off, one in the center unscrews. I enlarged the holes so the brass pieces would project up through the boiler shell. It was a very simple install, Larry had good instructions and a well made device. Now I just need to fire it up.
