Aristo GP40 voltage regulator

Hi All

Does anyone know the component number of the voltage regulator used in the aristocraft gp40? I’m looking to get a replacement for a gp40 that was battery powered and has been converted back to track power. The voltage regulator was removed when the loco was originally converted to battery power and the smoke unit was removed.

Well maybe you can just get a normal adjustable buck converter? I got mine for 5 dollars and it’s more efficient because it doesn’t lose all the energy as heat.
