Aristo Craft Caboose

I have a new brass Aristo caboose $400 plus shipping

That pic is about as hard to see as the ARISTO “Brass” caboose. I didn’t know that Aristo modeled in brass(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) YMMV

I don’t remember the caboose, but remember a brass rail car. Caboose must have been late after I stopped paying attention.

Must have missed those. Thanks Jon

I remember them. And I remember that many folks received them damaged because they weren’t packaged well enough.

I think the Aristocraft “Brass Caboose” was a model of the typical Penncy centre cupola caboose. I remember seeing it in one of the catalogues, but I don’t remember which one…and I’m not going to go searching for it…!! American Flyer Trains, in S scale had a model of it, and at one time you would see the model quite frequently at used train sales.

Seems to me that those trucks should have leaf springs, for a better ride. Or at least 2 coil springs no?

I think thats how Penns built them with that truck

You can search the Aristo forum to find all the discussion about it.

Are the trucks in good shape, some of them, well, came apart…
