Does anyone here model using Code .148-.172 rail? I am seriously considering using Code 148 to model 30 lb. rail on my indoor layout. I will have to do some serious flange work, but the effect should be worth the effort.

I’ve never used such small rail in largescale but the effect should be very nice. I don’t think it’s so practical outdoors but since you are indoors there’s no reason it shouldn’t work just fine. I think Gary Raymond has some close to scale wheels with small flanges that might just work, at least on the 172 rail, without modification in case you want to check that out.
Great idea for an industrial or early narrow gauge line. I’d like very much to see photos of your trackwork when you do it.
i use 205 on my indoor logging railroad looks good and no troubles with the flages
