One of my backyard ground loops in cooler times. Maybe I’m nuts but I could sit in the back yard and watch the trains go around and around forever. There was no bar-b-que on this day, but last Saturday we grilled some steaks while the trains, both loops, ran around endlessly.
Ahh, Very cool John. Hope Boomer does not see all the green boxcars, He might just make you his #2 man.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
What the heck is all that white stuff? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Joe from Florida
Even though I’m no fan of the white stuff, though it does look good in pictures, I’m getting close to thinking maybe it’s not so evil after all.
Been a warm and wet summer here in mid_Missouri.
From NWS Pleasant Hill here’s an example, “Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 105.” That’s pretty much been our summer. Mike has accomplished close to zero on his garden railway this season. My upper floor apartment is a bit short on garden space so I run at his place.

John, then I am nuts too.
The ‘white stuff’, as far as I am concerned is best on Christmas Cards It is rare to see snow here but only a few miles away it can be very different. It has been a lovely summer here, not too hot -max. of 75F - which has meant garden work and train running have been the order of the days. At least with the lighter evenings train running can still take place if honey do’s or shopping gets in the way of ones enjoyment. The school house project is almost complete - it has taken longer than I anticipated - but not much more to do. A new buffer stop is due tomorrow ( a PIKO, brass rail version together with a Woodland Scenics ‘Barneys Bust’ group. ( Sheriffs deputy, two children, trash can and barrels) at a 50% reduction price.
Hopefully winter will not show until well into November! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Speaking of school, while the gals at Walmart were setting up the back to school sale a couple weeks ago I got a laugh out of them with, “Why are you doing this, you know this is what causes the freezes to come, it always does!” (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Not to worry…Costco, Sam Club, Walmart will put their Christmas product out in about a week if they haven’t already. Geez. Then what?
