I guess they’re gonna delay the restart of the World Series to accommodate Mr. Wonderful’s 1/2 hour “infomercial”… Funny enough that he’s uncomfortable enough with his apparent lead to think he NEEDS one, but even funnier that I heard it was also being paid for with the public funds that he promised many moons ago that he wouldn’t accept.

Shame on the decision makers at NBC, CBS and Fox for accepting the money for this thing as well. If nothing else it seriously weakens their arguments that they are innocent of the charges of bias and favoritism. (Yeah, McCain COULD buy equal time, but should he HAVE to?)

On a tangential, but related note…Has anybody else noticed that when they run sound clips of the two candidates in alleged NEWS segments Obama gets twice the air time, and then they often talk right over top of McCain? Implied contempt…It’s such a nice touch.

What are you talking about? He is not taking the “public” funds. McCain did.
And don’t let that fund raising limit fool you. McCain’s “finance reform” still allows the GOP to raise as much money as they like to spend for McCain. And McCain for President can raise all the money they want. They just have to turn it over to the Republican Party to spend in his behalf. Hence, most of the solicitations I receive against Obama are paid for by the Republican party, and not McCain’s election campaign.
And yes, you want to run a commercial for your candidate, you should PAY for it. That’s the American way.
You don’t have to watch the commercial. I won’t be watching it. And I sure won’t be crying about it either.
As for Fox, Rupert Murdoch and his news are about as right wing as you can get. Capitalism at work. They will take anybody’s money.

The world series will start at its scheduled time. They are cutting out some of the pre-game. The world series will not be delayed

As Ralph said, he’s not using public funds–he’s using privately donated money to buy time. Anyone can do it if they have the money. Networks are a business. They sell air time. That’s what they do. McCain could do it if he had the dough an wanted to.

You can always not watch it. I have to work tonight, so I won’t be watching it.

Today Rush Limbaugh warned his audience against watching the $300,000.00 infomercial. He said he was afraid they would get so angry that they would damage their TV sets. I think in reality he’s worried that his ditto heads will finally start coming to their senses and actually hear what Obama is saying.

I’ve listened to him in the past and have only heard fluff and double talk. I’ll waste my time some other way and let the talking heads tell me what he said and how great he was.

Keep in mind that if his lips are moving he is lieing, like lawyers do, I mean he did attend Harvard!
