Anybody ever power up a cheap store bought toy?

As the title states, if so please share with some pics!
Looking for some inspiration … not looking for details or how it was done just pics of it done with a cheap toy?

Yeah...I know Jerry ..but not really what I meant ....Like take a toy that looks somewhat prototypical and mod it for their RR? ;)

Cool,
Now I understand the question.
Victor has done a few “toys”. But the pictures are gone.

I don’t know about prototypical…but Jerry did a neat rocket train.

And Mik works with “toys” quite a bit.

OK…Yeah I knew Vic did some stuff and Mik does trucks but never saw Jerrys rocket car! That is cool Jerry! That’s kinda what I was after.

Yeah, I did the rocket car, that was great fun. Used a Hartland single axle, see my web site. I did use 2 Stomper mechanisms when I made my Class A Climax but later switched over the the little two axle Hartland block, the one they use now for the Ozark Climax.

I turned this $20 thrift store find, an old bump-n-run floor toy from Japan,

Into this boxcab dismal

a broken LGB Big Bird Express body onto an HLW Mack chassis, sorry no before pic
