Any have a USA Trains Crane? I need some close up pictures

For this years build off I’m making a boom car/tender for a logging crane i have. It got me thinking about the USA trains crane I bought to convert. (a guy can never have too many projects) I need a few pics of it though, as mine is missing a few parts.
I need a picture of the top of the crane where the boom raise cables connect. I have to make the pully attachment on the arm.
I also need a picture of the top of the cab where the same cable connects.

Thanks for any help.

Terry

Terry,
I can get the pictures for you in the morning as I am in the middle of a similar project myself.

and here is the one I made for my scratchbuilt loader. I used brass doubled up with a dowel rod for the pulley with a couple grooves cut in

I have one too that I picked up in a horse trade. Not quite sure what to do with it so I’d be very interested to see how you convert it to a logging crane.

It is semi-functional when strung correctly, but without outriggers you can’t move the boom much off center or the car flips.

Terry,
Looks like you have what you wanted.

Jon,
A new car with lead sheeting and out riggers pretty well solves that problem.

Thanks Rick. I’ll file that away for some future project. Have way to many started now to even consider another.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed. This crane won’t be for logging though just a standard work crane. Although I may convert it ti steam.
