Are you aware he does acting …

Been there done that " old co " thanks Korm
Yep , most of the Seth Wilmarth locomotives had them on the rear as well. Hard to believe she ran behind my house…“back in the day in the hood” …I have sat on the back deck and fantasized about it several times.
So; what do you think of the new Acela train sets? I think they are butt ugly. The design reminds me of the failed Turboliners.
Um, not trying to shake things up, but perhaps we should rename this to The Amtrak Thread?
Just thinking, David Meashey
and that thinking took you 550 posts?
I agree Dave, it’s a big issue. That’s why, every time this thread starts drifting into something useful, I keep trying to do MY little part to veer it back to the purposes of Rooster’s original post.
I mean, SOMEone has to step up…
I agree Jon! The nose is quite ugly and that thing will never see speeds fast enough for it to be useful.
This is kinda cool though…NextGen Acela Fleet - Amtrak Media
I already have an Amtrak thread Dave.
Korm;
The thread started before I even joined here. Folks seem to be OK with its present title, so stepping off soap box.
Regards, David Meashey
but you and i, we won’t tell him that this thread is from '00 or earlier, will we?
Staying “on topic here” just so it doesn’t get changed.
Is that sprayer filled with beer? When the dog is done, I want a turn.
As an old-time steam guy, I’m not sure what part of that photo you’re referring to?
John, it’s supposed to be able to do around 180 or so , but right now the trackwork is the big holdup, some areas the train now can do 150, a lot are 130, and there are curves they have to slow down further. The new sets are being limited to 160 , with higher limits available.
