count me in, I’d love to see Rooster’s layout
Cliff & John;
Are those derelict locomotives now considered “Amtrash?”
Just wondering, David Meashey
It absolutely pains me to repost other folks photos of our beloved Amtrak going under the scrappers torch.
Even though I don’t do Amtrak or other modern trains, it saddens me as well.
Wish more folks would do something like this, I know I would! (I think Bill H posted this a few months ago).
Just found this at Adams Station, NJ.
My Grandfather used to tend the crossing and the commuters coal stove.
Back when they were relegated to the Sunset Limited…. I was in a club based in Pomona, Calif. We would go the depot after the meeting/work session and wait for the Sunset’s EB arrival. We would make bets as to whether both Poochs were still running, or had one already crapped out.
Always reminded me of a brick with trucks on it.
Go for it Cliff! I’m Sure you can go it up well
I’m following along here guys but I got my hands pretty full right now as I’m next of kin and I knew very little about wishes, finances, personal matters, A WILL… etc. She was only 57 and this was a complete surprise. I have been through it before with my parents however that was all pre planned and I had everything I needed and they were local to me. She was 4 hours away and had just transferred from Michigan.
So I have been popping in and out just to keep my sanity (not that I was ever sane to begin with but it helps) and no I was not as educated as her. I was a highskol drop out that had a passion for cars. So at 18yrs old I was fixing Porsche’s professionally chucking their Slim Whitman 8 track cassette in the back seat on a road test. Started my own business at 23 and still going strong 31 yrs later. However " I am smarter than her " as she had copies of my will, personal contacts etc. back in 2015.
