I picked up a Big Hauler 4-6-0 ‘for parts’ in an auction. It has an enormous weight, and is wired for a tender with r/c.
The chassis has a big hole where the wheels should be.
I also acquired, in the same auction but a different lot number, a 4-6-0 tender; same gloss black, but #14, whereas the loco is #12. It had a multi-pin connector on the front which fits the connector on the loco. It has a Locolinc r/c rig with possibly a Phoenix sound card.
My conclusion from all this is that the 4-6-0 chassis was gutted and some other chassis installed. I suspect the LGB 2-6-0, which is a fairly low profile and does not intrude in the boiler of the LGB loco?
