Another project out of the way. Last year I saw an old Tom York kit on Ebay. I put in a low $50 bid and figured I’d be outbid quickly. To my surprise I was the only bidder. I was further surprised when it arrived and I was trying to figure out why I had so many duplicate parts then realized I had been sent TWO kits. This Turkey Day break I decided to tackle them. Both are yellow Mack bases. Once the first kit was done the second went much faster. I realize I should have taken more pics but my phone is near death and unreliable so only a smattering of pics .

Anyway that’s all for now.

Beautiful work! I won’t tell Kid-zilla about these kits! I do wish HLW had made it through the pandemic. We have some of their stuff, and it is TOUGH. The prices were great, too.

I don’t think you’ll have to worry too much about Kidzilla. These kits were made in 2007. I have another Tom Yorke kit for the 23ton GE Boxcab, its also from 2007. I don’t think Tom has done anything in G for a very very long time now. I’m friends with him on FB and everything he’s shown recently has been in O and HO.

Like Eric, I wish HLW were still in business. Their Big John is a fantastic puller for its size, and the trolleys were great.
