Thank you all!
I would love to have some running time (trackage rights?) on the Bluestone Southern pulling those big trains with these.

Any time, Joe… Next years Ops schedule is posted under events…
and, If you are in the area other than then, let me know…
I’m just trying to move forward with this to get her done. Stuff’s not perfect or the way I would like to do it. Life is too short for me to perfect these things. So I go forward with the electrical stuff that drives me crazy…

I hate to show this in this state for those who like to pick on things. I just fired it up to test. Yes there’s much more to do. I use it as incentive to finish.
I’m going to load up these…

Joe, you old enough to be a Korean War vet? I recognized a couple of those ribbons.
No, that pic’s from the internet.
OK, so those blue things are hedgehog ASW bombs, and the ribbons are on the bridgewing of a destroyer.
Hmmm. Thank you.
added the ditch lights…

Cool!
I still dunno why the railroads want to light up ditches. Ditches are usually full of debris, green slimy water and the occasional drunk (alive or dead). That stuff I don’t need to see when I am rocketing along at 25MPH, half asleep, and wondering where my thermos of coffee is.

Well she’s out for her test run. There’s a lot more to do on her but I can’t wait!!
Hell of a puller you got there Joe. Nice work
Thank you Dave!
I was surprised and shocked at what she can pull. I was hoping for about twenty cars. I hope I can stay with it and finish the detailing like you did. Once they start running, I tend to skip the rest. Now I have two that are not finished and want to start a new one.
Nice!
Joe, yea, I have that tendency too.
A little more has been done. I’m getting a little bit slowly and fighting the cold bug going around. I got one end of the engine further along with an electric coupler mounted, the pilot and the steps. The front ones need to be different so it’s a slow process.

Seems to be a common illness. Took me something like 5 years to get permanent couplers on a Porter I converted to battery R/C. Once it was up and running I just quit to play with it!
Joe - You’re looking good, finished or not! That must be quite a train room you have to be able to run a train that long indoors
Trying to plug away at the details. There’s so much more to do. At least I got the MTH proto-couplers on and working. It is a switcher so she must pick and drop cars!
