That is a load you don’t see everyday. I wonder if the workers muscled them in or they used some type of hoist?
Well on the Cape Cod railway they would have used GHA and a crane!
They sure would have. Anything is possible on this RR. 
Going to a mine. If they were scrapping it for the iron they would have burned them and recovered the metal from the ashes. That’s how they “scrapped” the PE trollies here.
That’s pretty much what I was thinking yesterday Vic until I googled the Martin E Hansen collection. I ended up drinking way too many beers looking at his collections of historic pics which I could care less about. I then puked, passed out, woke up and completely forgot about this thread.
So I blame BD for the bender but I do agree!
I better stay away from that collection, I just bought a bottle of Famous Grouse whiskey for the holiday season
