Another Goodson

I met Patrick Goodson at a train show recently.
Here’s what he had to say about his brother, Dave:
Never mind, don’t want to start any family fueds…

Just kidding, Dave.
He didn’t say anything about you we don’t already know.
Nice guy, from what I could tell.

What did you expect? It runs in the family!

Anyone remember that old TV show with Bob Newhart in it where he had a hotel in (I think) Connecticut?

His handyman was named Darryl. He had two brothers also named Darryl.

Get the Goodson brothers together and that show instantly comes to mind. In a nice way of course!!!

I had the honor of meeting several of the Goodsons while participating in operations on Dave’s RR. It was hard to tell them apart.

This thread brings to mind the FAMOUS/INFAMOUS “Vogel Family”

BTW: The Dryl, Daryl, and Daryl; were NOT the handymen; they ran a restraunt that seemed to specialize in “Roadkill”…or was it only two Daryls…!!!

"I had the honor of meeting several of the Goodsons "

I just spent part of the afternoon running trains with three of them. Are you sure you are talking about the same family?

John

Yeah, John,

They are all gentlemen, and all somewhat “curmudgeonly.”

Two Darryls, both of whom were silent. Larry was the one who always introduced them: "Hi, I'm Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl."

Great show, and very funny characters.
