Annual "AMERICAN INVASION 2008"

You'll probably find some wino from a soup kitchen and bribe him to play your alternate personality Chris Vernell.
No self-respecting wino would stoop to play CV. Besides, it's easy to tell that I am not an aspect of Fred: Fred is good-looking, young and intelligent. CV ain't.

…and here I know that I am older than CV, but he is just carrying more on his milage counter than I am…

Chris…stop this hiding from civilization for just an hour in July…PLEASE…!!!

The Invasion is ON…the first of two Spring maintenance projects is just about finished. We replaced some roadbed behind the house and added a passing track.
There is a new Jigstones Station at Spruce

Just noticed this (zzzzzzzzzzzz). Yep, I surely hope to get to the invasion ... but civilization? ... this is darkest Nepean we're talking about ... civilization is a long way off ...

There is a sign just down the dirt road from me that says, “End of the World - 2 Miles.”

Yes, Steve; that’s where we are…the real end of the road, up here where men drink REAL bheer, not anything “Lite”, and real railroaders OPERATE their locomotives, attached to a train.

But as a brat, I have to stick with soda:D

I dunno, Fred…I seem to do OK up there on Ice Tea…

Ken;
I’ll never get between you and your “Iced Tea”…I know better !!!

That's the best place to be. The people are usually friendlier, the bheer colder and darker, and the food is always hotter.

I just received a call from the hotel reminding me of the rooms reserved for the AMERICAN INVASION 2008…

If you are planning on attending; go back on this thread and see the hotel information and book soon....please.

Google says it’s 13 hours from here. Not to mention, less than a month

You can follow Ric & Jan..............;)

Had figured out how much it would cost to go and how much I have available and decided I could definitely come.

Surprise! Here comes a $466 medical bill in the mailbox. “Not covered by insurance.”

Paging Dr. Murphy ...

Me, I think there’s a dark force that allows inanimate objects to know when you have a bit of extra money put by and plans for a treat: the car breaks down, the washer springs a terminal leak, the roof needs replacing (or the garden shed collapses) …
Of course, the optimist would say it’s nice that you have the cash at precisely the moment one of these bad things happens.

About 4 years ago I was about to order a 350HP small block Chevy from GM Performance Parts for my 81 Chevy PU. I was working on delivery arrangements(needed a dock) when my heart valve blew out. Timing is everything.
The truck is still rolling along with the original 305.
Ralph

Ralph,

The best part obviously is YOU ARE STILL ROLLING ALONG!

Thank you HJ
